Outlook Email Tip
You do know that you can have an automatic different (i.e. shorter) signature for your replies and forwards, don’t you?
In Outlook = File>Options>Mail>Signatures.
Gmail sorry, you can only use one signature (Settings > General > Signature).
Work Life Imbalance Tip
Work Life Imbalance (my name for it) is an important topic. Last week I conducted a webinar on the subject. Naturally it included a broad selection of tips and strategies. One of the participants was in the room. Afterwards I asked what she thought. Her response? “I was waiting for THE FIX”?
She desperately wanted a single answer to fix the problem. But as you know, there is no FIX. Trying to achieve a more harmonious mixture is a mindset. It’s a long list of making choices and tweaks.
Here’s one tweak. Buy an alarm clock. My daughter bought one that simulates sunrise.
Of course, you have your phone providing this solution now. By substituting the real thing and removing your phone you rid yourself of significant temptation. You know what I mean by temptation without reading a list here.
If you use Excel functions, you might like me, go to the fx icon to open the Functions dialogue box.
Well, after all these years, this old dog just learnt a new trick!!! I’ll share.
Go into the cell you’d like to start the function, type the equal sign then start typing the function name you want.
As you see below Excel brings up a list. Select it and – here’s the trick – hit tab to enter the function into your cell, getting it started.
