It is unbelievable how much that little device in your hand can do. I think we use only 1% of our smartphone functions and features. I’ve got a new phone and the first thing I always do – and the base for this tip (no matter if you have a new phone or one you’ve had for years – you’ll learn heaps) is to:
- Go to YouTube.
- Type the name of your phone and 50 tips.
- Select the most recent one with the most tips.
- Watch with your phone in hand; stopping the video to try out the tips you like.
You’ll be amazed at how much you learn by seeing and implementing. The one I’m watching now (over a period of a few days) is 150 Galaxy S8 tips
Let’s talk about Donald; a self-employed electrician. As you know, we can’t all be experts in everything. This period of the year – when everything slows down during December and January is perfect to bring in more business (the opposite of what you might think). All you have to do is pick up the phone. Your competitors won’t be doing it.
Calling clients is a simple idea, easy to implement and use. You benefit two ways. First you’d be surprised how much new business you’ll pick up this way – simply by calling, wishing them a happy holiday (or in January asking how it was). This gets a conversation going but much, much more importantly secondly it stimulates the relationship you have with clients, so you don’t lose them to others or even worse online sources.
In the same vein of growing your sales, I attended the launch of a new networking group in Auckland, Business Builders Group. https://www.bbg.business/ They are looking to start up throughout NZ and already are well entrenched in Australia. If you’re interested in a referral networking group where you learn and collaborate as well – have a peak at their website or email the Managing Director Geoff Hirsh firstname.lastname@example.org
